Addressing a commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of Hezbollah in Beirut, Sheikh Qassem said holding conferences and issuing statements would not bring about the Zionists’ retreat.
“Our confrontation with the Zionist enemy in southern Lebanon is in the interest of Gaza and Lebanon itself,” he said, Al-Ahed News reported.
He added that the enemy must realize that if it seeks a second round of clashes, “we are fully ready to face the challenges at any cost.”
Hezbollah is aware that the damages of war would be huge but the Zionists must know that the damage inflicted on them would be much heavier.
“The different between us and them is that we are rightful, we believe in God and victory will be ours. But the enemy is (affiliated to) falsehood and will have to retreat and accept defeat just as it experienced defeat in 2006 and in previous wars on Gaza.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassem criticized world silence on the Zionist crimes against the people of Palestine and said merely grieving for the women and children of the Gaza Strip, who are being massacred by the Israeli regime, or holding conferences and issuing statements would not be enough.
