Life after Death Not Impossible

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Those who have doubt about life after death should realize that creation in the first place is more difficult than creating again. If we recognize that God has created mankind, we should also accept the fact that creating man again is not impossible.

Life after death

The Holy Quran cites many examples to prove that bringing the dead back to life is nothing impossible. A person came to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with a dry bone in his hand, which he was crumbling and scattering in the air, asking who will resurrect this crumbled and scattered bone.

God says in Verses 78-79 of Surah Yasin: “And he has struck for Us a parable, and forgotten his own creation. He asks: 'Who will quicken the bones after they have decayed? (Muhammad), tell him, ‘He who gave them life in the first place will bring them back to life again. He has the best knowledge of all creatures.’”

If a manufacturer says he can disassemble and then reassemble the products, it is nothing strange because manufacturing something in the first place is more difficult than disassembling and reassembling it.

The questions of those who deny resurrection revolves around two points: First, can decayed bone be brought back to life? “The pagans say, ‘When we become mere bones and dust, shall we then be brought back to life again?” (Surah Al-Isra, Verse 49)

And second, even if it is possible, who will do it? “They will soon ask, ‘Who will bring us back to life?’ Say, ‘The One who created you in the first place.’” (Surah Al-Isra, Verse 51)

Why do those who wonder how scattered parts of the bodies of the dead could rejoin and lead to their returning to life have no doubt about the first creation? The original creation is more difficult than recreating. If a plane manufacturer says he could dissemble a plane and use the parts to build it again, will it be surprising? No because it is very easy to do for one who has made it in the first place.

The Holy Quran says: “It is He who originates the creation, and then brings it back again, that is easier for Him. For Him is the Highest Example in the heavens and earth He is the Almighty, the Wise.” (Surah Ar-Rum, Verse 27)

There are many other verses that highlight the fact that recreating and bringing back to life is not impossible at all:

“Does He then not have the power to bring the dead back to life?” (Surah Al-Qiyamah, Verse 40)

“Do they not realize that God, who has created the heavens and the earth, has the power to create their like? He has given them life for an appointed time of which there is no doubt. The unjust turn away in disbelief (from Our revelation).” (Surah Al-Isra, Verse 99)

“Will the human not remember that We created him before when he was not a thing?” (Surah Maryam, Verse 67)
