Organized by the Supreme Quran Council, the plan is for teenage Quran reciters and memorizers and aims to educate and train them in order to both enhance their Quranic skills and elevate their spiritual and moral level.
A number of the country’s Quranic managers were present at the opening ceremony.
Addressing the event, Supreme Quran Council deputy Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani said the initiative was first implemented in 2014 and since then, new qaris and memorizers have been selected to join the plan every two years.
“We have two major missions in this plan, namely elevating the technical level of the qaris and memorizers and elevating their spiritual and edifying level,” he said.
“In other words, the Osveh Plan seeks to train a generation of Quran activists who are the best in terms of reciting the Quran and also have an outstanding Quranic character.”
Also speaking at the ceremony was member of the Iranian parliament’s presiding board Mohammad Rashidi who stressed the need to use the Osveh Plan to train managers for the Islamic Establishment in Iran.
Elsewhere in the program, a number of those taking part in the plan were honored.
