Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad movement Ziad al-Nakhala and deputy chief of Hamas’ political bureau Saleh al-Arouri held talks with Nasrallah on Wednesday.

They discussed the latest developments in the region, especially the situation in Palestine following Hamas’ Al-Aqsa Flood Operation and the brutal Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, Al-Mayadeen reported.

They also weighed plans to enhance the resistance against the Zionist regime and exchanges views about response to the Zionist regime’s atrocities in Gaza.

Clashes along the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine, stances taken at the regional and international levels and what resistance groups should do to ensure victory in Gaza and elsewhere in Palestine and stop Israel’s brutal attacks and raids in Gaza and the West Bank were among other issues discussed at the meeting.

Earlier, Nasrallah in a message to Hezbollah’s media institutes urged calling resistance forces martyred since the launch of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation “Martyrs of Path of Al-Quds”.

He also prayed for elevation of the status of martyrs and patience and divine reward for their families.

The Israeli regime has been conducting airstrikes on Gaza for nearly three weeks.

The attacks have claimed the lives of over 5,700 Palestinians, including women and children, with more than 15,000 people injured.

The airstrikes follow a surprise operation dubbed Al-Aqsa Flood Operation launched by Hamas against Israel on October 7.

Hamas said the operation was carried out in response to the occupation regime’s atrocities in occupied territories and its violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
