Calligraphy Expo in Pakistan Aims to Spread Message of Love for Prophet
It featured the calligraphy works of late Aftab Ahmed Khan.
The purpose of this exhibition of Islamic calligraphy was to spread the message of love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
These colorful artworks of Quranic verses grabbed the citizens attention because the artist had expressed his love for the religion of Islam through his vibrant work of art.
Senator Talha Mehmood and Naheed Manzoor were the special guests of the exhibition. Senator Talha Mehmood said that calligraphy was completely an Islamic art that began with the divine revelation.
Naheed Manzoor said that writing the words in the colors of aesthetic taste and passion with a pen on the canvas is calligraphy.
When the calligrapher borrows these words from the Quran, Hadith, and spirituality, that art is connected with the ancient traditions of calligraphy.
Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmed said that Rawalpindi Arts Council is the galaxy of literature and culture, the cradle of the arts.
The Department of Information and Culture had achieved its goals with the support of the department, where talented people showed the charms of calligraphy.
