OIC Denounces Israeli Closure of Ibrahimi Mosque

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) censured the Israeli regime forces’ move to close the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil (Hebron).

In a statement, the OIC also condemned the Israeli act of preventing worshippers from entering the mosque and muezzins from reciting the Adhan (call to prayers) through microphones as usual.

It called on the world community for quick action to put an end to such Israeli acts which fuel violence, tension and instability in the region.

Palestinian groups have also condemned such practices are a flagrant violation of freedom of worship.
