Rabee’ Al-Risalah Int’l Festival Planned in Karbala

The 8th edition of the international festival titled “Rabee’ Al-Risalah” (spring of mission) will begin on January 18 in the holy city of Karbala.




According to Al-Kafeel website, the festival will be held with the motto of “the great Prophet (PBUH); a mercy of guidance and the path towards salvation” on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Imam Ja’far Sadeq (AS).



The three-day event will be organized by the custodianship of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala.



Seyyed Aqeel Abdul Hussein Al-Yaseri, head of the intellectual and cultural affairs section of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) and member of the organizing committee of the festival said that different committes have been formed to organize the program including committee of media, public relations, rituals, technical and official affairs.



He added that a number of invitation letters have been sent for religious scholars, intellectuals, literary figures, poets, Quran reciters, academic figures and artists in Iraq and other countries to attend the festival.



It will include a forum of academic figures to be held by the Research and Development Center of Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq and Baghdad University with the motto of “we write, innovate and fight through the noble light of the holy prophet (PBUH)”.



Al-Yaseri added that over 78 researches have been sent for the festival from Iraq and other countries about the character of the holy prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ja’far Sadeq (AS).



A Quranic session, a poetry reading session and exhibition of visual arts will be other parts of the festival.
