TEHRAN (IQNA) - An exhibition throwing light on the significance of the Holy Quran and the true message it conveys to the mankind is set for inauguration in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.

Madinah Emir Prince Faisal Bin Salman will open the exhibition sponsored by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

“The exhibition is south of the Prophet’s Mosque and it aims to show the world the historic background of the Holy Quran and its significance to the world. The exhibition is an attraction to both national and international tourists,” said Samayah Holding CEO Fawaz Al-Muhrij.

He said the earlier endeavors, The Names of Allah Exhibition and The Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] Exhibition, were both highly successful.

“The exhibition is being overseen by experts in the history of the Holy Quran. All of the information displayed has been reviewed by historians and linguists to make sure the information displayed is factually and linguistically correct,” said Al-Muhrij.

He added visitors from all over the world are welcome as the exhibition offers translations of the narrative displayed and tour guides speaking many of the most popular languages.

“The exhibition is divided into several halls: the Hall of Revelation, the Hall of Quranic History, the Hall of Preservation of Quran, the Hall of Quranic Readings, the Hall of the Interpretation of Quran, the visual displays hall, the Hall of Technologies in Service of the Quran, the Hall of Growing Up on the Teachings of the Quran, the Hall of Modern Efforts in Preserving the Quran, the Hall of Farewell,” said Al-Muhrij.
He added the Hall of Preserving the Quran contains old manuscripts from King Fahd Library and the Hall of Modern Efforts in Preserving the Quran contains the works of King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran.
“The exhibition has the latest technologies in preserving the old manuscripts and also interacting with the visitors. Visitors can scan the QR Codes of some display data-x-items and read more about them in their smart devices,” said Al-Muhrij.
He added the exhibition showcases more than 50 ancient manuscripts of the Quran.
“These manuscripts date back to 1,000 years ago. The exhibition will be open seven days a week from morning to night,” said Al-Muhrij.
