Prominent Egyptian Qari to Attend Gathering of Iranian Quran Masters
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Eminent Egyptian Quran master Taha Muhammad Abdul Wahhab will attend the specialized meeting of Iranian Quran masters, Qaris and memorizers.
The 11th edition of the meeting is slated to be held at the Quran Supreme Council in Tehran on May 6-8.
The participants will present papers on issues related to Quran recitation and memorization.
Abdul Wahhab is set to deliver a lecture at a workshop during the meeting on “Engineering of (Quran) Recitation”.
The Egyptian Quranic figure’s previous trip to Iran was in January when he served as a jury member of the 5th International Holy Quran Competition for Muslim Students in Tehran.
In recent years, many Quran masters from Egypt have been invited to Iran in an effort to enhance relations between the two Muslim countries’ Quranic communities.
