Quran Teacher Training Course Planned in Jordan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A course on training teachers of contemplating the Quran is planned to be held in Jordan.

  

Suleiman al-Daqour, secretary general of the Arab country’s Society for Protecting the Holy Quran, said on Friday that the course will kick off in a few days, Ad Dustour news website reported.

He added that the participants will be given lessons on concept of contemplation, methods and mechanisms of contemplation and its use at the level of the Quran’s verses, Surahs (chapters) and concepts.  

Al-Daqour made the remarks in a ceremony held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the society’s establishment.

The ceremony was organized at the 20th international book fair in Amman, Jordan’s capital.

At the book fair, the society has put on display it publications and books, including those related to Quranic studies, educational subjects and children’s books.  

Jordan is a Muslim-majority country in the Middle East. Followers of Islam make up around 95 percent of the country’s population.
