Iraq’s Nujaba Chief Congratulates Iran’s President-Elect

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Secretary-general of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic resistance movement offered congratulations to Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi on his ‎victory in Iran’s 13th presidential election.

 

In a message on Saturday, Hojat-ol-Islam Akram al-Kaabi also congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the people of Iran on ‎the victory of Hojat-ol-Islam Raeisi in the election.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Sheikh al-Kaabi said, “The Iranian people have once again ‎demonstrated their commitment to the government and leadership of the Supreme ‎Leader of the Islamic Revolution and with enthusiastic participation at home and ‎abroad, they have turned challenges into electoral epics.” ‎

He expressed hope that the relations between the two nations of Iran ‎and Iraq will be strengthened in all fields due to the ideological, cultural and ‎geographical ‎commonalities. ‎

Iran held its 13th presidential election on Friday. In parallel, the participants also voted in City and Village Councils mid-term Assembly of Experts and parliamentary elections.

According to the preliminary results, with around 90% of the votes counted, Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi garnered over 17.8 million votes, followed by Mohsen Rezaei who secured 3.3 million. Nasser Hemmati secured 2.4 million votes, and Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh-Hashemi won almost one million votes.
