Sign Language Course for Women Quran Memorizers Underway in Kuwait

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second edition of an educational course on the principles of sign language has been held for women Quran memorizers in Kuwait.

 

 

According to Al-Ray newspaper, the country’s  Manabir Quranic Association has organized the course, which started on October 1 and will conclude on October 15.

Maha Abdulaziz Al-Hamdan, an organizer of Mawahib-ul-Qulub project in Kuwait who is an expert in sign language, teaches the course.

Mohammad Al-Shati, vice president of the association’s official council, said it has been planned in line with the objective of the association to serve the Holy Quran and disseminate Quranic teachings in the society.

Those taking the course will become experts who can teach Quran and Islamic principles to the disabled, he added.

The first edition of the course on the basics of the sign language was held 8 months ago with the participation of 12 women Quran memorizers.
