Quran Interpretation Sessions Held in India

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Al-Mustafa International University organized the second edition of a Quran interpretation plan titled “Naseem-e Wahy” (breeze of revelation) in 50 areas in India.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam mohammad Hussein Rafi’ei, director general of the Quran and Hadith Department of the university, told IQNA that the university’s branch in India successfully held the annual Quranic program during the holy month of Ramadan.

He said that the plan aimed to disseminate Quranic teachings among the younger generation in cooperation with Indian scholars and clerics graduated from the university.

The plan included daily Quran interpretation sessions held for teenagers and the youth at different mosques of the states, added Hojat-ol-Islam Rafi’ei, who is also a member of the scientific board of the university.

Interpretation of Surahs Loqman and Hujurat, congregational prayers, and religious speeches and discussions were different parts of the sessions.

The university’s Center for Islamic Studies also published three books titled “Interpretation of Surah Hujurat”, “Interpretation of Surah Loqman” and “Ramadan with Quran” in Urdu, which were used as textbooks at the sessions.

He went on to say that the university plans to hold the Quranic program in other parts of the world, particularly Asian countries, next year.
