India-Based TV Channel’s Programs Featuring Quran, Nahj-ul-Balaqa Teachings

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The World Islamic Network (WIN) is a TV channel in India that broadcasts programs mainly for Shia Muslims.

 

World Islamic Network, a registered Public Trust (under the Govt. of India), is the first Islamic 24-hours satellite channel established in 1991 with the main objective of imparting true knowledge of Islam to people around the world, according to its website.

It broadcasts programs in Urdu for different age groups particularly the youth in 30 countries.

WIN has also published around 90 different titles, including religious books in 45000 copies which are distributed free around the world.

Among the main programs broadcast on the TV channel are those featuring the teachings of Quran and Nahj-ul-Balaqa.

The channel has also produced special programs for the months of Muharram and Safar (the first and second months of the Islamic calendar) to disseminate the message of Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising.
