Winners of Int’l Cultural Competition in Karbala Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Top participants at an international cultural competition titled “Anta Afdhal” (you are the best) which was held for women in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, were announced.

 

According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, Iman Hajimi, director of Waha Al-Mir’ah center affiliated to Imam Hussein (AS) Institute, said that the competition was held with 1299 participants from 19 countries.

He said the competition, which was for women and girls, had a total of 724 winners.

The main objective of the event was to promote the participants’ knowledge in religious, historical and jurisprudential issues based on authentic references, he added. 

“Whoever sought recourse to them, reached salvation” was the motto of the competition, which was held on September 11.
